Rev. Al masters, interim University Minister
It’s great to be an Interim Clemson Tiger once again! I’m excited and delighted to be part of the Fort Hill Pres. community and again share the spiritual journey with the students. Having attended the University of Kentucky and being a graduate of UNC-CH (Go Heels!), I was privileged to major in college basketball with a minor in Chemistry (and have the grades to prove it J). While serving in “church world” for many years, my particular joy is hanging out with young adults—at Davidson, UNCC, Winthrop, Furman, Presbyterian College, and Clemson. I love students’ humor, intelligence, desire to serve, and their willingness to ask hard questions of faith and life. I see myself as a co-learner and “player-coach” who understands ministry is mutuality—growing in knowledge of God and self together in all the struggles, challenges, and joys of being human.

beginning September 2016
I’m originally from North Carolina and graduated among the mountains of NC with a degree in Health and Wellness. My love for adventure and desire to meet new people has led me to live in many places both in and outside the States, most recently spending a year in South Korea teaching English, fitness classes, and building cross-cultural relationships. I enjoy being active, most recently practicing Brazilian martial arts, yoga, and mountain biking. I’m looking forward to returning to the US and getting to know the wonderful community at Clemson!
